Christmas The Greatest Gift – A Review
The True Meaning of Christmas
All too often is the true meaning of Christmas drowned out by presents, Santas, bad music, noisy children, and all the materialistic consumerism that money can buy. Honestly, it wasn’t until I was saved by God as a teenager that really knew and understood the real reason for Christmas: God gave us the ultimate present, His Son, Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16).
The Good News That is Christmas
In Christmas The Greatest Gift, Paul Williams lays out the good news of Jesus Christ in an easy-to-understand way, running it right alongside what most everyone experiences going through the Christmas holiday. As I read through this short piece, I felt as if I were sitting next to a grandfatherly figure as he explained to me the real meaning of Christmas. Very enjoyable and engaging, this is a book that should go to everyone right alongside their regular gifts.
Reading through The Greatest Gift was an easy read with a simplistic presentation of the true meaning of Christmas, yet one can feel the weight of eternity dripping from the love-filled words of Paul Williams. Through the experiences he shares in this book, Paul invites people not only to take a look at themselves, but at his life so they may see how the Gospel of Jesus Christ really is Christmas The Greatest Gift.
