Monday’s Top Read:
Your Life Is Not Boring
I regularly tell the girls that we serve as houseparents that being bored is a personal choice, that there is plenty to do. This is a way better response.
“We have this strange tendency to take our own existence, others’ existence, and the world we live in for granted, as if these are just mundane facts. As if living on a giant sphere spinning at 1,000 miles per hour, while orbiting around a gargantuan fireball at about 67,000 miles per hour, in a solar system that’s traveling around the Milky Way at over 500,000 miles per hour, while the galaxy itself is hurtling through space at more than 1.3 million miles per hour is just sort of ho-hum. And the real exciting action is taking place on Facebook or Fortnite.’
Edinburgh church votes to split from the Scottish Episcopal Church in early sign of schism at decision to support gay marriage
This church, as well as others, have done a great thing in standing up for the Biblical definition of marriage, as instituted by God.

Elderly men escape nursing home to go to Wacken metal festival
This is something I would think I might do when I am older…
“A German nursing home alerted police after they noticed two men were missing. They were later found at 3 a.m. at the Wacken Open Air metal festival.”

Warriors are vigilant. They’re watchful and wary of their antagonist’s every move. People become vigilant when they realize they’re in jeopardy. As soldiers of the cross, we are surrounded by enemies.”

Good Guy With A Gun Stops Bad Guy With A Gun In Florida
With some caveats, I stand by the saying that the best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. There are other ways to help prevent casualties, but stopping the threat is something entirely different.
