I’ve read a lot on this topic, and this is an awesome read! But, in all fairness, while I read this in 2023, and it was posted in 2023, it was most definitely not written in 2023. It was written centuries ago by John Owen, and it’s great!

Outside of the local church, John Piper’s preaching and ministry had some of the greatest effect on my life as an immature believer. I wasn’t a new believer by any means, but I was certainly immature. Now, after over a quarter centure of being a believer, this really hits home with all that is going on. Worth the read!
What is the Church?
This sentence from the article sums it all up (well, really, the first three words of the sentence do…):
“We, the church, have been made for this task by the indwelling presence and power of God’s Spirit.“
Begin Where You Are – How To Renew Your Prayer Life
Just the title of this is some of the best advice I think one can take for, well, really any task. Begin where you are. There’s no magic bullet or formula for this, that is, outside of what is prescribed in the Scriptures. This article is a good read that made me do what I often tells others to do with matters of spirituality: read the Bible.

The distance from your head to your heart, while not relatively long (14-18 inches, or something like that), really is one of the furthests distances, one of the widest chasms that sometimes must be traversed.
